Beware of this if your Kwikset locks don't have a small hole for 1 of the tools. I called Kwikset and was told it won't work with any of the locks I have. Had to return it. Also, see attached images showing the packaging was damaged upon receipt.

As a landlord, the Kwikset system is ideal when you have to rekey for new renters.
This kit provides you four new original keys, so you may not need to make more keys. I, of course, put the lock changing tool where I could find it when I needed it..... I bought the kit for the tool (I misplaced the tool that came with the locks back when...)
It took me less than 10 minutes to rekey 5 locks.
Be sure you have the Kwikset lock system compatible for this.

Very easy to use. Worked perfectly on two of my door locks. The included instructions were clear and easy to follow; however, be aware of the keys that are included in the package. The first kit that I received contained 5 blank keys and only one legitimate, notched key. Fortunately, the return process was painless and I got a replacement kit quickly. Despite the ease of use and overall usefulness, I am removing one star because of the quality control issue I had with my first kit. Overall, this is an easy recommendation if you have a compatible Kwikset key way.

So, my roommate moved out, and I had to up my security game with the Halo lock. I mean, peace of mind, right? Didn't want to be worrying about old keys floating around. But spending another $200 to swap out the whole lock? Nah, not today Sat an. That's when I discovered this rekeying kit. Seriously, it was a game-changer. Took me less than a minute, and bam, new keys, new codes, no worries. And the instructions had picturesssssss! I mean, even I couldn't mess it up. So glad I found this hack to keep my place safe without breaking the bank and keeping my same lock.

This is very easy to use, really only seconds to change the key.
Things to keep in mind:
1. It only works with Kwikset locks that have the "Smart key" feature. If a Kwiksset lock has a separate tiny slot next to the key slot, that means it has the feature.
2. Naming the second keyset "Temporary" adds unnecessary confusion, as reflected in the questions. It is simply a second set of keys but having a smaller number of teeth. You could potentially use the tool and set it to the "temporary" key, and give that say to a repair person or a cleaning service or a crazy girl / boyfriend to allow them access. To remove their access, just rekey back to the "everyday" key, poof the crazy one disappears from your life! Now, how about the crazy spouse who had the everyday key, that you've kicked out? Well, order this kit again to get 4 new keys and rekey the lock. Or just copy a key from a random lock in your hardware store and return the lock (that feels unethical but they treat their employees horribly anyway).

Tengo un par de cerraduras kwikset y necesitamos 3 llaves, normalmente cada cerradura trae solo 2 así que considere sacar un duplicado, pero me encontré este juego de 4+2 llaves y la herramienta para re-programar las llaves por solo $129 , fue muy sencillo y me sirvió bastante bien.
Si tienen cerraduras kwikset y necesitan más llaves no duden en comprar este paquete es muy útil.
