Looks Great, Feels Solid
This handle is very solid and looks really good. It fit perfectly where the old handle used to be. I have two issues one is the screw that comes with the handle is pretty short and our door is very heavy. The screw had to go into a pre-drilled hole from the last handle so it would not have much wood to grip and I felt would not hold tight for long. So I had to go to Home Depot and buy placement screws which worked perfectly and is not really the fault of the manufacturer. The other issue is the handle Is not very deep so it’s difficult to have leverage to close our heavy pocket door. My prior handle was deep enough that I could really get a good grip with two fingers to close the door completely. With this handle being more shallow, it’s hard to get enough leverage to close the door all the way. I have to really fiddle with it to get the door to close completely. It works eventually and if your door doesn’t weigh a ton and have old wheels that need lubricant then this handle will be perfect for you.
